We anticipate to be operational to the public by the beginning of February!
First Hoodies and Shirts!
Get some of the first Cadence Coffee apparel! Purchases will support us as we start up. We want to bring you quality coffee and service. As we have been readying ourselves to open, we have been going through beans, cups, propane (for the espresso machine), and hardware equipment. Your support will help us continue to test and improve as we begin operations soon!
A Champion brand 50/50, cotton/polyester black hoodie with white stitching sporting the running bean with headband.
Sport-tek "racer mesh" shirts. Men and women's cut's available.
Transparency: The sweatshirts cost us ~$50 and we are selling for $60. Embroidered apparel is more expensive. $10 is the cost of beans for us to make about 18 espresso drinks.
Transparency: The shirts cost us ~$20 and we are selling for $25. 10 shirts will cover a replacement propane tank for our espresso machine.

Collecting orders until 12/13. Then the apparel will be ordered, created, shipped to us and then out to you!
Realistically we won't make as much because of shipping unless we order a lot and really bring the cost down. Also, Square takes 3.30% + $0.30 per purchase
We chose a gas powered espresso machine to make a mobile operation more do-able. The machine is a Fracino Retro. It is a manual/lever style machine to further reduce the electrical needs. The machine came from the UK at the end of October, and we have begun testing making drinks to bring you consistency and quality when we begin service!
The cart has arrived! It will take some time to configure and get set up, but we can roll! The photo is the night we unboxed the cart. We are excited to get started.
We picked up two grinders from some folks on Craigslist. Good finds! A La Cimbali Jr and a Macap M4. Both are older models, but their quality will hopefully allow for good grounds to be produced for our espresso.
New Updates!
About us
Cadence Coffee aims a hub for endurance athletes of Davis to meet, connect, and hangout. Our community is filled with individuals and groups who run, swim, and bike (or do all three for our triathletes out there!), and we want to bring all together and provide support through our membership and general offerings in addition to brewing great cups of coffee.
The owner, Nathan Kwan, is an avid endurance athlete who enjoys coffee and teaches high school chemistry and physics here in Davis at Da Vinci High School.
